Dagboken, which by the way means "diary" in Swedish, is the first release by Stephen Philips and Hypnos, though we will also be releasing his Into the Dark later in 2005. As you'll hear in the MP3 sample audio clips (below), Dagboken is an imaginative and varied piece of ambient drone, one we've had on frequent "repeat" in Hypnos HQ for quite some time now. It's a long piece (about 72 minutes), and one that covers quite a bit of ground during that time, collaging together elements of "found sound," location recordings, synthesizer textures, and sample treatments.
